It’s Finished!

June 3rd, 2012

Hello.. anyone still there?

Poor B&T has not had much attention from me lately. Apologies to my loyal reader{s}.

But it has been for good reason!!

Mr. vB and I have been sweating it out every day after work and every weekend to get our house ready to go on the market and guess what… It’s finished!!

We only had to do a few hundred finishing touches to complete.

Here’s one of my many to-do lists.  {I just love the satisfaction of marking something off!}

And I may be partial, but dang this house looked good when we finished!!!

And you know what?  I realized that I’ve never given you guys a proper tour of our house.

Well today is your lucky day..

Welcome to Casa vB.

{photos courtesy of our MLS listing- Sorry this house doesn’t stay clean for long so I had to take advantage of photos of a clean/neat house- enjoy!}

The Dining Room

Well there you have it!

Feels good to have it finished.

But feels even better to tell you guys that Casa vB has a Pending Contract! Yup- that’s right. The house went on the market Thursday afternoon and by the next morning we were under contract!

We are looking to close in mid-July so I guess my next post needs to be about the NEW casa vB that WE have put a contract on!

Stay Tuned!

Cleaning out

March 10th, 2012

So we met with a realtor this past week to discuss getting Chateau vB on the market.

It was a great meeting, but a bit overwhelming at the same time.  We have approximately 6 weeks to check off everything on the To-Do list.  {Said list includes tiling, painting, landscaping, trim work, drywall, de-cluttering, more painting, and staging. } Looks like Mr. vB and I will be pulling some late nights and full weekends to make our deadline of May 1st.

So today I took the plunge and started the de-cluttering process.  First up was the pantry.

It’s such a great big old space, but over time it had accumulated quite a bunch of stuff.

So I took everything out that was not a food item and put it all on the dining room table.  Then from the table I made 3 piles- Trash, Goodwill and Storage.  I wish I had taken a photo for you. It was nap time so I was rushing to get it done before my little helper woke up, but it was a Big Ol Mess!!

The majority of the stuff ended up in the Goodwill pile and then straight into the back of my car!

Here’s what the pantry looks like now.

Better, but I still have some work to do.

Tomorrow I am going to dig into the bedroom closets while Mr. vB tackles tiling the 1/2 bath floor.

If anyone out there in blog land is bored and/or has a thing for going through other people’s junk give us a shout!  We could use the help!  De-Junking the Basement is up next!
