Shoe of the Month- February

February 1st, 2012

I spotted these cuties on Pinterest today..

but I just can’t decide what color I like best!

Toms Ballet Flats- Eliana Blue Suede, Katia Chambray and Eliana Pink Suede.. $79 Each

Don’t forget that with every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need.

That almost makes me think I need to get all 3 pairs!

Shoe of the Month- December

December 18th, 2011

Bet you guys thought I forgot about Shoe of the Month didn’t ya?

Yeah – it’s been like 11 months since I last posted a shoe.  But it has taken that long to find a pair worthy of being a member of the B&T- SOTMC.

Behold..

The Audrey Brooke Paris Leopard Flat… $59.95

{Yes- it’s a total knock off of the Tory Burch Reva, but seriously who can afford a $235 shoe???}

They also come in black and silver metallic.

I got the leopard print ones and have been sporting them with my blue jeans.  Mommy Likey!

Shoe of the Month Club

Shoe of the Month- February

February 25th, 2011

So last weekend vannyB and I went shoe shopping while Mr. vB went motorcycle riding with his boyz.

I have been searching for the perfect black flat now for weeks, okay months, but have come up empty handed every time.  Not sure exactly what I’m looking for, but everything I’ve seen is either too flat, too boring, too expensive, or not in my size.  This trip was no different.  I went up and down the flat aisle at DSW about 20 times…I saw several black flats but nothing really, how should we say,  “hit the spot”.

That’s when I decided that I needed to think of this in a different way.  I wanted a pair of basic flats that I could wear with jeans, casual skirts, and shorts once it gets warmer.  Why did I think that black was the only solution?

Enter Metallics- Gold, Bronze, Silver, call it whatever, as long as you call it shiny!

As soon as I changed my mind set, a whole new world of shoes screamed out to me- TAKE ME HOME!

And who was the lucky pair??

Well it’s shoe of the month February, that’s who!

LeSportsac Devin Boat Shoe… $49.95

On the more casual, boating shoe side, but oh so comfortable!!  And they really do go with everything!

Yeah for Metallics!  I deem them the “new black” for Spring/Summer 2011.

Shoe of the Month- December

December 13th, 2010

Now that my feet are slowly shrinking back to their normal size {sorry ladies- looks like I will be keeping all my shoes!}, I’m back on the Shoe of the Month train!

Look at these cuties that I found over at Payless…

Allegra Exotic Flat… $34.99

Christian Siriano for Payless

I’m thinking they could be super cute to wear with black tights for a holiday party, or with jeans for a casual afternoon.  Happy Shopping!

Shoe of the Month Club

Shoe{s} of the Month- October

October 7th, 2010

I’ve been on the search for a few new pairs of flats recently and not just because the weather has cooled off.  It’s mainly because my “what use to be petite” size 9 foot is now a whop-ing size 10-10.5 and none of my current shoes fit…thanks to the baby boy in my belly.

I’m hoping praying, begging that post birth, my foot will shrink back to its normal size.  Otherwise I am going to have about 30 pairs of shoes for sale, including one fabulous brand new pair of Frye Boots.  {Let’s hope for my sanity that they do.}

Now for the record, I wasn’t trying to go for the jungle print look. Both styles just really caught my eye.  I think both will look super cute with blue jeans, cords, etc and provide that casual yet “I can still dress them up” look that I so desire.

Merona, Mady Ballet Flats, Zebra…$19.99

And…

Merona, Maudie Flat, Leopard…$24.99

I’m sure you’re not surprised to find that both are from Targae’.  Just know that I had to end up purchasing the zebra ones online.   Sometimes it pays to know where all the Target stores in town are located.  Just not in this case.  Of the FIVE Richmond Targets that I visited, only 1 actually had any in stock. Just none in my new larger size!

Shoe of the Month- August

August 18th, 2010

I’ve got another great sandal for you guys to snatch up!

Have you ever heard of the Jack Rogers Navajo Sandal?  They’ve been around since the 60′s when Jackie O made them famous by sporting them around and they “swiftly became the footwear of choice for resort-chic dressing.”  {No I didn’t come up with that statement myself.  It is straight from the Jack Rogers Website!} Ooh-la-la!!

Jack Rogers..Navajo…$96

Their price tag is a bit steep, but leave it to good old Tar-gee to do a more budget friendly version.

Target- Enid Whipstich by Merona…$19.99

Rack Room Shoes is getting in on the action too!  A little pricer than the Target version, but they have a nice wedge heel.

The Jill Shoe by Franco Fortini… On Sale for $39.99

(Online they only show this brown option, but I know stores are carrying gold and silver versions too!)

There are definitely subtle differences, but to save $50 to $70 smack-o-roos I think I could live with them.  What about you?

Shoe of the Month-July

July 3rd, 2010

Have you guys ever heard of Switch-Flops by Lindsay Philips??  They are flip flops that have interchangeable Velcro straps that allow you to have “unlimited choices with minimal effort.” {that last part was straight from the website}

I recently acquired a pair from my buddy Adrienne and LOVE THEM!

Here’s what the original pair looked like…

And here’s the same shoe after I picked up a new pair of straps…

What a great concept!  One Pair of shoes that can be “switched-up” depending on your mood or outfit!

Go to the website and mix and match your own pair now!

Shoe of the Month- April

April 24th, 2010

I realize I totally missed Shoe of the Month for March, but I just didn’t find any worthy of the award.  I’ve been constantly checking my budget friendly haunts  {Payless and Target} and nothing has impressed me.  I did find these today… not sure how they would look with my pale skin, but maybe with a little tan??  What do you guys think?

Neilson Bow Flat…$29.99

Our friends at Payless continue to design more stunners for Lela Rose.

Ashland Mary Jane Wedge… $34.99

Hampton Woven Bow Pump…$29.99

At these prices I MIGHT have to splurge and get both!
