It’s a new month… time for a new shoe!
I always get giddy when I recieve my Boden USA catalogue in the mail. I love their clothes and style. Only problemo is their price tag! Most everything that catches my eye is a bit expensive- but oh-so cute!
They did not disappoint in their latest catalogue..

The Turquoise makes me think that Spring is right around the corner, even if reality is telling me there is 10″ of snow outside to dig out from!!
These are a definite splurge but I AM IN LOVE!
I spied the Silver ones at Nordstrom over Christmas and I was head over heels… Then I checked out the price tag…
$115 buck-a-roos! GULP!
Wonder if I can find them anywhere for under $75.
Then I could also afford the Fleece Socks to tuck into my new silver boots.
I think I could justify this purchase if I lived in Seattle, but here in Richmond it just doesn’t rain enough. So we are either going to have to move, or I’m just going to have to keep dreaming.

As promised, I am back- relaxed and refreshed from Thanksgiving Break with a great new shoe that might just need to find a new home in my closest and yours.

Now I know that not everyone is a fan of the new “bootie” boot style. (everyone means you Rebecca) But I am!! I have seen several styles that have caught my eye, these being my latest favorite.

I know.. a bit of an investment, but aren’t they cute? I am trying to decide if I have anything in my closet that I could wear with them.
{Okay-I’m going to be honest with you guys. If you looked in my closet you would see about 20 pairs of black/or semi black heels and not a single pair of brown. Is that weird? I’ve never been a brown person so most of the dress clothes I wear are black, hence the need for 20 or so black pairs of heels..hehe.. good justification right? But I am feeling the need to break from this mold. I’ve already got my brown Frye Boots- they just arrived yesterday- so I am off to a good start. The only draw back about purchasing brown shoes is that I will now need to go shopping for some brown dress clothes.. oh such dilemmas!! But just an FYI.. a little birdie told me that Ann Taylor Loft will give you 25% off if you buy a pair of pants and a shirt! I think the stars are aligning and fate is telling me that I need a new BROWN outfit from head to toe! I mean I do have that $$ we made from the yard sale burning a hole in my pocket. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that it appears that most retail clothing stores are ditching their summer clothes and rushing us into the days of blue jeans and long sleeves again. Where as I am not ready to give up my flip flops and tank tops just yet, I am thinking about budgeting for some shoes come fall. (yes to everyone whose jaw just dropped to the floor- I do know how to budget and don’t always make impulse purchases- thank you very much)
With that being said, I was introduced to the line of Frye Boots last year from my best bud Reba and haven’t stopped thinking of them since. I’m even thinking of copying her with the same exact boot. (sorry Reba, but at least we live in different cities so no one will know!) The only catch is that these boots are SUPER expensive, but SUPER cute. That makes all the difference right? I figure if I start saving now, it won’t hurt my wallet so bad come fall when I actually purchase them.
Here are the three pairs that I am debating between. I thought I was sold on the first pair, but the other two are pretty darn cute too! Heck maybe one of the pairs will go on sale between now and when I want to purchase them. And then I would have enough money left over to get a new purse too.. ha-ha.. YEAH RIGHT- a girl can always dream can’t she??

I spied these cuties at a local shoe store called Off Broadway Shoes. But when I googled them I found them online at several places as well. Not as cheap as my local place, but still not bad. I snagged ‘em for about 40% off… so I think they totaled $36 bucks! Cheaper than Payless Shoes..what would Betsey think of that??
